Kaleidescape today introduced the Kaleidescape Terra Prime 120TB, a high-capacity movie server that stores up to 2,000 4K movies. The solution downloads movies in as little as 8 minutes with 2.5G internet. The company said that the Terra Prime 120TB is perfect for customers with large movie collections.

High-fidelity movies from Kaleidescape’s movie store are downloaded and stored with Terra movie servers. Kaleidescape said that the Terra Prime 120TB aims to unlock the full Kaleidescape experience with features such as cover shuffle, expanded library management and parental controls.

Kaleidescape’s movie library serves to provide lossless audio and full reference video quality for improved film viewing experiences. The movie store offers titles for rent including concerts and TV series in addition to movies. The content is available with lossless multichannel and object-based audio, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

“Terra ensures maximum storage flexibility for growing movie libraries, while supporting Strato movie players throughout the home,” said Jason Welsh, senior vice president of sales, Kaleidescape. “Customers may group up to four Terra servers in a system and any number of movie players, for a truly customizable whole-home experience.”
