Miri Technologies launched the X510 dual-cellular bonding network router this week. The Miri X510 can combine multiple wired and wireless data connections, including 4G, 5G, Starlink, and Wi-Fi, into a single bonded link. Powered by Speedify, a channel bonding technology from Connectify, the purpose-built X510 hardware can bond up to seven direct connections, including integrated, global-ready 5G and 4G modems, two Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi connectivity, and two USB ports for optional external modems. Automatic failover ensures uninterrupted connectivity, even if one internet service provider fails, while bonding 4G LTE and 5G helps overcome congestion in crowded venues.

The X510 also features Speedify’s patent-pending Pair & Share function, which enables bandwidth expansion by sharing data connections from up to 20 mobile devices on the same network via the Speedify app—allowing for a total of 27 contributing links.

For 4G and 5G connectivity, customers can choose between Miri’s new NetConnect+ multi-carrier data plans or insert their own SIM cards from preferred carriers. NetConnect+ plans automatically switch between major carriers and regional networks as needed, ensuring seamless connectivity. Customers with specialized data contracts or those requiring extra flexibility can use their own plans to bypass congestion, which is particularly beneficial in newsgathering scenarios where multiple professionals may rely on the same carriers in crowded press pools.

Designed for rack, desktop, or field use, the compact X510 includes two slots for hot-swappable NP-F batteries (not included), ensuring extended uptime. Unlike video encoders and contribution systems that are restricted to specific codecs or transport protocols, the X510 supports all data types, from media files and general documents to live streams from third-party encoders in any format.

With its high-capacity bonding, failover protection, and flexible data options, the Miri X510 is a versatile solution for professionals in broadcasting, remote work, and mission-critical applications requiring reliable, uninterrupted connectivity.
