IC Realtime TV Launches on Apple TV
IC Realtime officially launched IC Realtime TV, a proprietary, generational-lead native Apple TV application that integrates live security camera monitoring directly into the streaming environment. The app is now available for download on Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD devices.
IC said that Realtime TV aims to bridge the gap between security and smart home entertainment through integration of live surveillance, event monitoring, playback, door station controls and site maps directly into the Apple TV experience.
The app sits alongside all streaming apps on the Apple TV home screen, aiming to make security camera access natural. It operates over the home’s internal network with every Apple TV in the residence becoming a live security and safety monitoring station without the need for additional hardware, wiring or HDMI switching.
The company said that setup takes under two minutes, with users scanning their network through a single button after download. IC Realtime TV automatically discovers all connected cameras and brings them live across every Apple TV in the home at once.
The company said that the app is built around five core tabs – Home, Live, Events, Map and Settings, each designed to mirror the intuitive feel of consumer streaming applications. When a visitor rings a doorbell, the camera feed is displayed on an active TV, allowing the homeowner to see who is at the door. After a set interval, the display automatically returns to the multi-camera grid. When motion detection is triggered on any camera, it also snaps to full screen and returns to the grid view.
IC Realtime said that the TV operates over the existing Wi-Fi network, allowing for every Apple TV-connected screen in the home to become a fully functional monitoring station with no additional infrastructure or costs.
The app launches with local-network-based camera discovery, guided setup, and no monthly fees. It supports IC Realtime and IC Home camera ecosystems, with compatibility for up to 32 cameras per installation. IC Realtime TV is available now on the Apple TV App Store.
